The PureChoice label assures you that every fragrance has been thoughtfully selected with a careful eye on its ingredients.  We collaborate closely with our fragrance manufacturing partners to make sure that strict standards are met and that we have transparency to ingredients. 

We've set our standards high to give makers like you peace of mind. Our goal? To ensure that the fragrances you bring into your homes or studios not only perform well but are also safe to work with in these spaces.

Rest assured, EVERY fragrance that we offer today:

• Adheres to IFRA standards
• Are Phthalate-Free
• Are free of ingredients included on the California Prop 65 List
• Are Vegan and Cruelty-Free
• Are Paraben-Free

But, we know there are more ingredients that may cause concern for families and businesses. That's why here at Scented Flame, we put in the extra work to create a range of fragrances that surpass today’s standards.

Our PureChoice label guarantees that our fragrances are always free of:

 Carcinogens -  These are materials known or thought to cause cancer

 Mutagens - Materials that change the DNA of a cell, harming the cell and causing diseases like cancer

  Reproductive Toxins - Toxins that adversely affect reproductive organs and increase the risk of birth defects

 Organ Toxins - These are toxins that can cause adverse effects or disease within specific bodily organs

 Phthalates - Hormone disruptors linked to reproductive birth defects in infants

 Prop 65 List - Naturally occurring and synthetic chemicals that cause cancer or birth defects or other reproductive harm

The PureChoice designation does not mean that the product is safe for all applications. Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and IFRA Compliance sheets are available for every fragrance and easy to access on the product page. Our products are only meant for the purpose stated. Not all fragrance oils are safe for use in body products and could cause skin irritation even if they are labeled PureChoice. Please be sure to read the detailed IFRA Sheet on each fragrance oil product page to understand the safety maximums. As always, it is the responsibility of the customer to perform their own testing to ensure safety.
