A+ hot & cold throw but SF should help w/ wicking

"I am going to be blunt here. The hot and cold throw on this wax is amazing. Really impressive. But it is pretty ridiculous that Scented Flame's guidance for a wax that they are the sole supplier of essentially is just "perform wick testing to achieve the best burning characteristics. " Yes. Obviously. Of course the wax needs to be wick tested. Every wax on the market needs to be wick tested. That is not guidance. That is a disclaimer dressed up as advice, and from the only company on the planet selling this wax, it is honestly lazy. There's just no other way to put it. If you are going to be the sole source for a particular wax, if there is literally nowhere else a customer can go to find information about working with it, I think it is completely reasonable to expect you to provide some meaningful starting point for wicking. ESPECIALLY if it's a premium wax. Give us at least one wick series. Literally anything that gets the customer into the ballpark before they start burning through dozens of test candles trying to figure it out on their own. Yes, testing is part of candle making but you shouldn't have to do it blind, either. I am not expecting a manufacturer to hand me a finished recipe. Fragrance load, vessel diameter, vessel shape, additives, and a dozen other variables obviously mean that final wick selection has to be tested by each maker. I understand that. But there is a massive difference between "you still need to test" and providing absolutely zero meaningful direction on where to begin. One of those is responsible. The other is just offloading work onto your customers disguised as a suggestion. That lack of information is the primary reason this is a 3-star review instead of 5. Let me be clear about that: the wax itself is not the problem. The wax performs extremely well. The throw is fantastic, the melt is clean, and I genuinely want to love this product. If I were rating the wax purely on performance, it would be a 5 without hesitation. But this is a review of the full experience of using this product, and that experience included spending a significant amount of additional time and money buying wick after wick, series after series, trying to find a starting point that Scented Flame should have already provided. This is already a premium wax. It already costs more than most alternatives. Having to stack additional wick expenses on top of that, not because of normal fine-tuning but because I was essentially starting from scratch with no direction, really took the love out of it for me. One star loss for the lack of information. The other for the extra cost out of my pocket to buy a handful of different wick series to test with. I eventually figured out what works for my application. But I did that on my own dime, with my own supplies, through my own testing. That is part of candle making, absolutely. But I should not have had to start from nearly zero with a wax that Scented Flame has been selling long enough to know what wick families work well with it. Honestly, give me a discount on wicks and wax and I will test the hell out of it and write a proper wicking guide myself. Not joking. Different series, diameters of melt pool, with and without FOs. . . Customers deserve that kind of resource when there is only one place on earth they can buy the wax. The wax itself is impressive, and I have no problem recommending it based on its raw performance. But the complete absence of any meaningful, wax-specific wicking guidance from the sole supplier does not come across as "wicking is complicated. " It comes across as Scented Flame deciding that figuring it out is the customer's problem. And frankly, as the only company selling this wax, providing real wicking guidance is one of the simplest things they could do to help customers succeed with the product and to sell more of it. The fact that they haven't is a disservice to a wax that honestly deserves better support behind it. For a wax performing this well, that is a genuinely disappointing omission, and it is the entire reason this is a 3-star review instead of the 5 it could have easily been."

Amazing clean pour

"This wax dries and pours beautifully. I like the convenience of the soy beads but I'll take the slab of AromaMax 800 anyday. Its worth the time it takes to cut and prepare. I am still working with wick sizing but the HT and CT is AMAZING with wickless candles and wax melts."

Save some for me!

"My Oh My. 🤯 I know I know I should have waited . but I didn’t. I made a scent from my Autumn Selection (Apple Cinnamon and Pumpkin Apple Butter) - Scented Flame. My, this is a beauty. I made wax melts just to see it the scent would throw a good CT. AND YES! I put it in my oil warmer with a tea light candle, and this smelled up my whole condo. I will never buy from anyone else. PS! please never run out lol."
